Powerpoint slides can no longer be controlled from Easyworship
Hi!
The first thing I would do is run a Quick Repair on MS Office. You will need to go to Windows Control Panel and find MS Office and right click on it and select change and then do the Quick Repair.
When the PowerPoint Icom flashes on the tool bar it means that is has opened up outside of EW.
Hi Terry, thanks for your quick response. As mentioned above, I have already done a full "online repair" of MS Office via settings > apps > installed apps > Microsoft Office > Modify > Online Repair.
I agree that the problem is Powerpoint being opened up outside EW. What do you advise I should do next to stop this from happening?
You can follow the steps in the article. Make sure that you follow the steps exactly. Reinstalling Microsoft Office - PowerPoint : EasyWorship

Description of the bug: Cannot advance powerpoint slides from within Easyworship
How was your service impacted? Can no longer use Easyworship remote to advance items which have been imported from Powerpoint - we have to use PC keyboard which compromises other areas.
How was your preparation time impacted? no impact on preparation time
Powerpoint version: Microsoft® PowerPoint® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2505 Build 16.0.18827.20102) 32-bit
Step by step instructions on how to reproduce the bug:
1. Load schedule which contains an item created from a powerpoint file.
2. Attempt to advance to item which was created from powerpoint file
3. Item fails to display on main output; powerpoint icon appears in taskbar and pulses (flashes)
4. Using standard easyworship controls appears to select slides in preview, but these are not displayed on main output.
Workaround:
1. click on pulsing Powerpoint icon in task bar or click on main output window (ie send focus to Powerpoint)
2. Use left/right arrow keys to advance slides
We have been using our current setup successfully for 1.5 years, since we bought an upgraded PC. We rely on using the Easyworship app on iPad, and although the app works for everything else, it is currently useless for any imported Powerpoint presentations.
I am not aware of any changes to the PC software which might have caused this problem, which we happened on Sunday 8 June. So far I have made sure that all windows updates are installed and I have also done a full "online repair" of Microsoft Office, but the problem remains.
