Can’t connect to remote ap

I think I finally found the trick to this ongoing problem. Use an Android device. We have fought with Apple iPads and iPhones running the remote app for years now, but I've started trying Android devices and they connect immediately and work as you'd expect. Which is ironic considering Bonjour is used to make the connection. If you must use an Apple device, open the app on the the iPad/phone and just let it sit, sometimes 10 minutes or more. It will eventually connect. Once it does, it usually works fine. I go through this every Sunday with Pastor's iPad. If you have the option, switch to a Galaxy tablet and your life will be much easier. This is something that needs to be on the bug list for addressing in version 8, as I know I'm not the only one.Hope this helps someone.
My pastor uses his iPhone every week for his sermon notes and we have never had a problem with it connecting. As soon as he opens the app, he's able to control EW without issues. I have seen a lot of remote issues be caused with the network that's being used or the router is blocking it in some way. I also prefer Android devices so that's what I would also recommend :)
