The audio file has to be set as a background element for it to play through the slides. When you add the audio file in the presentation, make sure you drag and drop it from the Media/Audio button to the Master slide on the left side. That should set it as a background. You can double check it by selecting the audio file and going to inspector and Media to make sure it's set as a background.

I have started using 7.3.0.13 and have a problem adding audio to the master slide of a new presentation.
The audio attaches to all slides with the effect that the audio clip starts from the beginning as each slide is displayed.
I then created the same presentation in "Songs" with no issues. Audio file attached to master and played across all slides as per normal.
I wondered if any one else had noticed this issue?
