EW8 Editor vs. Output monitor pixel size issues

Hi!
I've submitted a report on the support channel as well, but maybe someone has advice for me here in the meanwhile...

Background:
I've been using EW7 for several years, so I'd say I'm quite familiar with it by now.
I downloaded and installed EW8 on my home PC a day or two ago and attempted to set up a schedule for tomorrow morning's service.
Our church projector has a screen size of 1280 x 720, whereas my monitors at home are 1920 x 1080.  Most of the EW8 settings were inherited from my EW7 installation, but I checked the custom output monitor settings and made sure they were set correctly in EW8, which they were.

Issue:

Despite the output monitor set to 1280 x 720, when editing a presentation, the editor appears to work on a 1920 x 1080 size output. It might look perfect in the editor, but once saved, text elements are proportionally oversized.

Attempted solutions:

I tried the solution offered online: Close EW, right-click the EW8 app > Properties > Compatibility > Change high DPI settings > Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by application.
This did not fix the problem.
My only workaround would be either to use the 'Resize text to fit element' text size option (which generally makes the font a lot smaller than I want it to be) or to set font sizes manually, save the presentation and test it on the output - terribly time consuming.

I'm running Windows 10.
