Audio control at media and application levels
You already can set the attribute on any content to mute it. :)
Right click on your countdown video in Media and Edit Video Properties. On the right side of the editor, check the Mute box and click OK. This will always play that video muted and won't affect any other videos.
I see, it is in the media library, not the media list in the schedule. This will get us by the primary challenge I think.
But I'd probably say it still isn't ideal. It's as if I have to decide to "never" want the audio, I can't just toggle it on/off in a schedule. Obviously I can go back to the library and enable/disable but this is less "Easy" or intuitive and if I'm being honest easy is why I've been pushing to keep EW in spite of the pressure from the Mac fanboy ProPresenter club here. lol.
Thanks, you've eliminated the pain point mostly. Not sure if this kills the enhancement request for you, but I'm functional and will train the others. Hopefully they'll remember months later if they want to turn it back on. Also, once muted in the library it really should show as muted in the live output panel and it doesn't. I can foresee someone spending a deal of time troubleshooting no audio a year from now.
Thanks Steve for the feedback. I can definitely send these suggestions in for future development. The next version of EW will be releasing soon and this could be an enhancement in one of the future builds.

I haven't found a better way to do this,
Here is the specific use case:
Prior to the start of a service we stream background music into the sanctuary from an application on the PC where we also run Easy Worship. We use 5 minute countdowns in Easy Worship that often have background audio that we don't want to play. In EW7 we usually have a logo displayed prior to the countdown. So we send the countdown live, mute the audio on the countdown itself and then remove the logo so the countdown plays without audio. Later in the program after the audio streaming is long over we may have a video where we do want to include the audio. If we didn't remember to unmute the audio on the countdown after it was over, then we have to enable it when we send the new content live which get's tricky depending on the transition. The only way we've found to enable/disable audio within EW7 is on the video content itself. What would make life a lot easier would be:
1. A button/toggle along the top ribbon to mute Easy Worship entirely
2. The ability to set an attribute on any content in the Easy Worship schedule to enable/disable audio in that content
