When dragging scripture into a schedule, the text box is as big as the background and the text on the live screen goes all the way to the left edge.  How can I make this box smaller globally - so I don't have to do it each time?

You can adjust the Scripture settings under Edit > Options > Scriptures, or you can create a default Scripture theme and make the changes to that.

Do I set the margins under Scripture font?  If so, what is the unit - inches, pixels?

It depends on what you're wanting to do. You can change the justification to Left, Center, or Right, or you can change the text margin settings. The unit is pixels

If you set up a theme, you can resize the text box on the slide to the size and location you want.

Thanks, this was just what I needed.  I set up a scripture theme.
