I have EW version 7.4.!.9  running on a HP Omen i9 Geforce RTX with 165hz refresh rate.   Brand new laptop with all drivers up to date.  

There is a 2-3 second delay for slides to transition.  This is a problem.  Is there a fix for this?

Most likely is the laptop is defaulting to using the Intel graphics instead of the Nvidia graphics. Use this guide to set the laptop to use the Nvidia graphics by default. Also set the Power Plan to Performance. Most laptops are configured to use the Power Saving Plan from the factory to increase the Battery Life.

I have the same issue on a brand new computer with a new install of EW.  Support suggested un-installing and re-installing.  However I started to do some digging.  I found that in my situation if I advanced the slides with the keyboard there was no delay. However, if I advanced the slide with a mouse click, there was a 2-3 second delay. I'll check to see if there are updated mouse drivers, or maybe It needs a new mouse.
