[Equipment Configurations] MSI laptop display port used for Display Foldback?
3 CommentsSorted by Oldest First
Hi!
It looks like the laptop has one HDMI output and one Mini Display port but you would need to contact them and make sure that you can use both of them at the same time as independent outputs. I can not determine from the specs on the link if it will or not. It may be that you can only use one or the other and not both.

Just to update this topic, I bought the laptop in question and using the HDMI port for the main screen and the Display Port for the foldback (VGA display) it all works well.

I looking for an appropriate laptop to run EasyWorship and have come across an MSI model that is within our budget (https://www.ebuyer.com/803892-msi-gl62m-7rex-gaming-laptop-9s7-16j962-1869:37a6b20c]MSI GL62M 7REX ). It has an i5 processor and NVidia GTX 1050ti GPU which seems to fit the requirements. My question is does anyone know if I can successfully attach a monitor to the mini Display Port to act as a Display Foldback when using the HDMI port for the main screen?
Thanks
