I have 2 Questions:
1. I am having trouble with the dual monitor setup. I have followed the directions to extend windows, but when I click on the secondary monitor the desktop icons show up on the secondary monitor and solid background image shows up on the primary monitor. I ended up having to highlight the primary monitor for the correct setup, which is opposite of the instructions.
2. I was unable to play imported PPTs from the schedule. I had to open the PPT viewer instead. I have imported PPTs before and they seemed to run fine.

What video graphics card do you have in the machine? Is it an Intel mobile card?

Also what version of the PowerPoint application do you have installed?
