[v7 General Discussion] Powerpoint Freezes - Easyworship Crashes

Hi

We have a problem with powerpoints in easyworship crashing. If we open taskmanager and endtask on powerpoint everything looks to start working again. If we don't catch it in time then easyworship crashes and we get the below in event viewer. We are running Office365 updates to the latest version. I know there is an inbuilt presentation section. Our struggle is external people coming in to use our church, along with external speakers.

The program Easyworship.exe version 7.1.4.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

You appear to have more than one version of PowerPoint installed, or at least leftover registry entries from a previous install. You need to uninstall ALL versions of MS Office, clean the registry of all leftover traces of MS Office, reboot the computer, then install just the one you intend to use. That normally corrects the problem.

Some people have been able to just uninstall the old version and get things sorted out, but I've found the above to be a more thorough approach. Please not that if you do try to just uninstall the older version you might need to perform a repair install of the new version to regain full functionality.
