[v6 General Discussion] Audio problems in video playback

I am having problems with audio when playing back videos using easyworship 6. The sound is choppy and crackly.
I can play the same videos using Windows media or VLC or any other programme outside of Easyworship with no problem but as soon as I add video in correct format WMF or MP4 the sound is not good. Video runs smoothly but not the sound.
I am running windows 7 pro with a Audigy sound card and the latest drivers. I also have dscaler installed.
I only added the sound card yesterday as I had the same problem with the built in sound on the mother board. So it's not a card problem.
Can anyone help please

Since EW6 uses QuickTime to play videos a better text would be using that program to test video playback; I will say I have always preferred Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic because QuickTime always seemed slow .

Dscaler is used to play videos from DVDs.

Having tried what you suggested but have no joy. You can't play windows media files in quick time outside of Easyworship so that test does not work.
However I repeat all videos music files etc play seamlessly outside of Easyworship, it is only when they are played as part of the schedule that the sound is choppy and unacceptable. It is clear that the problem is with the programme not the computer nor the sound card otherwise it would not work.
One think I have noted is that although I have a 2.6 ghz processor and 2 gig of memory when Easy worship is running the cpu is often at over 80 percent. Would not have thought a programme such as this would use so much power.

Thanks for any help
While in Task Manager did you notice memory statistics? It might be 2 GB RAM is not enough and there is disk paging happening which would impact media playback. The MP4 videos would be handled by QuickTime; I can only assume WMV would be handled by Windows Media as EW has not mentioned how these media files are played.

In one of my earlier posts I noted increased CPU usage of EW6 vs EW2009. [url:3v0te8q2]http://forums.easyworship.com/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=14051
